Why JSON Formatting Makes Debugging Easier
How indentation, valid syntax and small checks help when reading configuration or API data.
JSON is easy to exchange but difficult to scan when everything is on one line. Formatting adds structure; it does not fix incorrect data or validate the meaning of a field.
Check the first error
A missing comma, quote or closing brace can make the whole document invalid. Start at the first reported position and compare the surrounding punctuation.
Separate structure from values
Formatting helps you see objects, arrays and nested fields. After the syntax is valid, check whether the values have the type and name that the receiving system expects.
Avoid secrets
Do not paste production passwords, access tokens or personal data into an online service. A browser-only formatter reduces network exposure, but you should still remove secrets before sharing a sample.
Use the related browser tools as a quick check, then verify the result for your own workflow.
