How to Resize an Image for Email
Choose dimensions and file size for email without making the image unreadable.
Start with the recipient
Email clients display images at different widths and may block remote images. Resize a copy to the width needed in the message rather than attaching a camera original.
Keep text readable
If an image contains a form or a small label, inspect it at the size a recipient will see. A smaller file is not useful if the text can no longer be read.
Check the attachment size
Compress after resizing and check the final file size. If the message still exceeds a mailbox limit, use an approved file-sharing method rather than repeatedly lowering quality.
